TLDR: Some banks or account types do not support Open Banking, so if you can't link an account, you can upload pictures or PDFs of your bank statements in the app. Link all accounts you can, then use the ‘Upload Optional Documents’ feature to share statements for unlinked accounts. Share statements for accounts involved in the transaction, and consult the requesting company if unsure. To upload, select ‘+ Add an account’, then ‘My bank is not listed’ to upload documents.
Accounts that can't be linked
Certain banks do not use Open Banking technology - this may be for all account types, or just certain ones. If the account you are trying to link is not an option, you can share pictures or PDF’s of your bank statements in the app instead.
I can link some but not all accounts
Continue linking all the relevant accounts that you are able to. At the very end of the app journey, after you have completed all of your tasks, you will see an option to ‘Upload Optional Documents’. There you can add any extra pictures or PDF’s you wish to share. Share any statements for accounts you were not able to link.
Choosing which statements to share
Share any accounts that are being used in the transaction. If you are unsure on which accounts to include, refer to the company that requested your check who will be best placed to advise on which accounts they want to see.
Uploading Statements
To share pictures or PDF’s of your bank statements, select ‘+ Add an account’, ‘Next’ and then ‘My bank is not listed’ which will appear at the bottom of the screen. You will then be given the option to upload documents instead.
