TLDR: The Transaction Details section requires entering the property address, purchase price, and any stamp duty payment. For shared ownership, enter only your share price. Use the postcode to find the address or enter it manually if not listed. After inputting details, review and save or edit as needed.
Transaction Details
During this section, you will be asked to provide:
- The address of the property being purchased
- The purchase price
- Any stamp duty payment required
First, select ‘Begin’ next to Transaction details. Then select ‘Next’ at the bottom of the screen. You will then need to enter the purchase price and stamp duty amount. If the stamp duty is unknown, refer to the company that requested your check, or enter £0.
If you are purchasing a shared ownership property, do not enter the full property price. Instead, enter the amount for the share you will be purchasing.
If you have co-purchasers, you will be asked to share more details later on.
You will then be asked to enter the address of the property being purchased. Select the box on screen where it says ‘Start Typing Address’ and then type in the post code of the property. A list of address matches will appear, select the correct address from the list.
If the address is not shown, select ‘Enter it manually’. You will then be able to type in the address in full.
After entering all of the required details, you will see a screen asking you to review everything before you can press ‘Save’. There will be an option to ‘Edit’ the details if necessary.
