TL;DR: A tenancy agreement verifies your agent or landlord, but a separate proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or ID dated within the last 3 months) is required to prove current residency.
As part of your rental application, we will use your tenancy agreement to verify your landlord or letting agent details. As tenancy agreements are dated when your tenancy first started, we don’t typically use this as a proof of address document, as we require a proof of address to be dated within the last 3 months.
To ensure we have valid proof of your current residential address, we will ask for a separate document to show this.
The second document can be one of the following: a utility bill, bank statement, UK driving licence, non-UK driving licence, national ID, tuberculosis vaccination. If you do not have any of these, there will be space to add another document.
