Reading your chip
After photographing your signature page, you'll see instructions on how to scan your chip.
To scan your passport chip, please close your passport and place this on a flat surface. Please ensure the front cover is facing up, and you do not have a cover on the passport.
Please place the phone flat on the front cover of the passport. The camera on the back of your phone should be in line with the middle of the passport. Please then press to 'Start reading.'
When the reading is in progress, you will see a progress bar or dots fill in on screen. When the reading is in progress, please do not move the phone.
Submitting the chip
After the scan is complete, you will see a copy of the details provided by your passport chip.
To submit this information, please press the blue 'Next' button. You will then be asked to complete a face scan, you can read more here about completing this.
