TLDR: Depending on your transaction funding source, you may need to provide evidence such as a contract of sale for asset sales, a solicitor's letter for divorce, probate grant for inheritance, mortgage offer, or a recent payslip for savings. Only one document per source is required. If you lack the necessary document, contact the initiating company for guidance or consider skipping the task in the app.
Providing evidence of your source of funds
Depending on how you are funding your transaction, you may be asked to provide evidence of this. If you have added any of these sources you will be asked to provide a document to evidence them:
Asset Sales - A contract of sale or receipt of sale
Divorce - A solicitors letter confirming the divorce or a consent order
Inheritance - The grant of probate or a letter from the solicitor managing the estate
Mortgage - The mortgage offer or agreement in principle
Savings - A payslip dated in the last 6 months
How many documents do I need?
Only one document is needed for each source that requires evidence.
What if I don't have a document to upload?
If you don't have a Source of Funds evidence document to upload, we would recommend letting the company that initiated your Thirdfort check know. They may advise you to upload a different document here or to skip this task within the app instead.
