I've been asked to provide more details about my cryptocurrency?
If you have been contacted by cryptocurrency@thirdfort.com some of your funds for a transaction come from crypto assets meaning further due diligence is required. As your advisor, it’s the duty of the firm representing you to follow regulations to help keep you and your money safe. Providing further evidence can turn the gains you have made from investing in crypto assets into funds that can be used for purchasing another asset such as a property.
What do I need to do?
-
Complete your Source of Fund's questionnaire through the Thirdfort app.
-
cryptocurrency@thirdfort.com will contact you via email.
-
You provide us with the details requested. This will include any public wallet addresses you have, details about your investment into crypto assets and when you liquidated those assets.
-
You will also need to provide evidence of the investment and liquidation of your crypto assets in the form of bank/account statements. We will ask you to do this using the optional document upload feature in the Thirdfort app. Need guidance on how to do this? We’ve prepared this article for you.
-
We will create a report summarising this information for your advisor.
