Why does Thirdfort use Open Banking?
Unfortunately, fraud is commonplace in the property market today and to prevent money laundering and other criminal activities, conveyancers and law firms are under strict regulations to prove that their client's money comes from a legitimate source.
By harnessing Open Banking technology, Thirdfort provides you with an innovative way to share your financial data securely and easily at the click of a button.
No need to print out statements or email digital copies, with Open Banking you can safely share your statements in minutes directly via your bank.
We understand that not everyone may use online banking or may prefer not to connect to their bank to provide a statement. Instead, you can skip the task and instead upload PDFs or photos of paper bank statements. Our guide here explains how to upload these documents after skipping the task.
