Why do I need to explain where my funds are coming from?
As part of your verification, the organisation that requested your Thirdfort check may ask you to complete a Source of Funds task. This is a short questionnaire which will ask you to account for where your money is coming from. By law, when dealing with large amounts of money, solicitors and law firms have to understand where that money comes from.
If you do not think you are required to provide this information, or have already provided it please contact the organisation requesting your Thirdfort Verification. They are responsible for setting all of your available tasks, and are in the best position to advise on this.
How can I skip this task?
If you have been advised to skip the task by Thirdfort, or the organisation that referred you to us there are two ways to action this.
I've not started the task
If you have not started the task please select to start this from your to-do list. On the next page, you will see the option to 'Skip' at the bottom of the page.
Please select this, and then if you are sure you wish to skip press 'Skip' on the second page. This will remove the task from your to-do list and return you to any remaining tasks you have left.

I've already started the task
If you have already started the task then you are unable to access the skip option. Instead, select to 'Add a Source' and then select the option for 'Other.' When prompted please enter the full outstanding balance as the amount, and when asked for where the money comes from enter 'Skip'
Once you have entered this source please select 'Next' and you will be taken to the confirmation screen. Please select 'Confirm' and this will then submit the task and highlight to the organisation requesting that you skipped it. You will then see a confirmation on the screen that the task is complete and you can then return to any other tasks.
