TLDR: The article explains how to add a divorce settlement as a source by providing details such as the amount used, law firm name, divorce date, recipient of funds if not paid to you, and if funds came from outside the UK. After adding, the outstanding balance updates, and you can edit or remove the entry. Evidence of the divorce settlement must be uploaded as a document to confirm the details.
Your divorce settlement details
After selecting to add a source, you will then have the option to select a divorce settlement. When adding a divorce settlement, you'll need to provide the following information:
The amount you are using from the divorce
The name of the law firm acting for you
The date of the divorce
If the money was not paid to you, the name of the person the funds were paid to
If the funds were received from outside the UK
Once you have added the source, you'll see the outstanding balance update to reflect this. If you need to change or remove the savings please select 'edit' next to it.
Evidencing your divorce
If you have added a divorce as a source you'll need to provide evidence of this. You'll be given a new task to upload a document confirming the details of the divorce settlement.
