What documents can I use to evidence my divorce?
If you have indicated that funds for your purchase have originated from divorce proceedings the firm that referred you to Thirdfort may request you provide evidence of this. You can read more here about why you may be required to provide as part of your transaction.
If you have been asked to evidence your divorce please provide one of the following documents:
- A letter from your solicitor confirming the final settlement.
- A cour consent order.
If you do not have access to these documents or have already provided them directly please contact the firm that referred you to Thirdfort and they can advise on how they would like you to proceed.
How can I upload my source of funds evidence?
After completing your source of funds task, based on the answers provided you will automatically be provided with a new task to evidence the sources selected. This will appear on your task list automatically after submitting your source of funds questionnaire.
To get started select to 'Start' the task from your to-do list. You will then be given a brief introduction to the task, when you are ready to begin please press 'Continue.'
Once you select to continue the app will then confirm which documents can be uploaded to evidence your divorce. The Thirdfort app will then give you the option to upload a PDF file or a photo.
Once you have selected your document you can then choose to add further documentation or chose to submit what you have uploaded.
When you have uploaded all the documents required please select to 'submit' these documents. Once submitted this task cannot be returned to or amended so please ensure to check your documents before submitting them.
Once you have submitted your documents you will receive confirmation that the task is complete. You will then be able to return to your task list and complete any remaining tasks.
